Princeton Fire Department is currently seeking volunteers who are interested in becoming firefighters. The department serves the residents and businesses of Princeton Borogh and Princeton Township. Dwelling Fire - 38 Walker Drive

Sunday, February, 8 2009 - Princeton Fire Dept responded to a 2 alarm fire in Princeton Township located at 38 Walker Dr at approximately 3:03 am Sunday morning. The call came in as a dwelling fire and patrol cars reported fire showing from division 2 of the alpha delta side. Police patrols also stated that all occupants had been evacuated and accounted for. Deputy Fire Chief 61 Roy James sounded a full first alarm after receiving the police patrol’s report. Deputy Fire Chief 61 Roy James was first on scene reporting heavy fire from second floor alpha side, immediately dispatched a second alarm and established command. Fire Chief 60- Dan Tomalin arrived taking Fire Operations. The fire quickly spread through the alpha delta side second floor corner through the roof. When fire crews arrived an interior attack commenced. Shortly after, an evacuation was ordered as the division 2 floor had been compromised. It quickly went to an exterior attack with master streams from Tower 62, Telesquirt 23, and Squirt 63. The fire was placed under control at 4:04 am by Deputy Chief 61 Roy James. Fire departments responded from Princeton, Hopewell, Rocky Hill, Lawrenceville, Plainsboro, Kingston, Montgomery 46, and RIT Team 53. Princeton EMS/Rescue, Plainsboro EMS and Signal 22 also responded. Ewing and Pennington covered the Princeton Fire Department’s stations.
